Taft and I are honored to have been included in this year’s list of 50 Sales Development Leaders to Watch. Thank you David Dulany and Tenbound!

But, it’s really about everyone on the list. They have an incredibly challenging job that includes multiple disciplines: manager, coach, sales trainer, sales operations manager, recruiter, and leader to name a few. Wow!

The one common thread across the list is that these leaders are working extremely hard to advance the craft of Sales Development. This is what we strive for at SDR Path and hope to do for our profession.

Don’t be afraid to reach out to these people. If you’re new to the profession, we suggest jumping at the opportunity to work for them. When you work for a modern sales development organization, you’ll work very hard but also learn a lot. Sales Development is rapidly evolving and organizations that aren’t aggressively iterating on their process will be left behind.

The roles of SDRs and SDR Managers will look very different within the next 5 years. It’s one of the fastest growing professions in the United States, but one that most companies get wrong due to inefficient operations, poor process, and non-existent coaching. The leaders on this list are working hard to make sure that their organizations are moving our profession in the right direction. Fortunately, the Sales Development function has spawned an amazing community of leaders and practitioners that makes it easier for all of us to get ahead.

Better sales development teams means a better buying experience for our customers, which results in more revenue and more economic activity. Let’s go make It happen!
